Biomedical Engineering

Biosensors and Biofuel cells: Nanobiosensors using various nanomaterials such as carbon dots, gold nanoparticles, and nanocrystals, graphene-based nanoparticles as a signal transduction systems along with the different redox enzymes and novel aptamers as recognition elements for detection of malaria, myocardial infarction, alcohol, bilirubin, and formaldehyde. Chromatographic paper and biofuel cells are major platforms for developing these biosensors.
